PURPOSE: A device and a method for photographing an image in a portable terminal having a camera are provided to rotate a rotational lens housing according to a set photographing time and the set photographing frequency, and to automatically rotate a camera at 360 degrees when photographing an image, thereby photographing desired panoramic images. CONSTITUTION: A sliding housing(30) performs a sliding motion while continuously maintaining a confronted state in length direction on a body housing(10). A rotational lens housing(20) is mounted while continuously maintaining a confronted state on one side of the body housing(10), and is rotationally connected while being confronted with the sliding housing(30). At least one side key(102) is mounted on a side of the body housing(10), and the sliding housing(30) linearly moves in length direction on an upper side.
