PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a child seat easily and surely attachable/detachable to/from a seat for a vehicle. SOLUTION: This child seat is fixed to the seat for the vehicle and is mountable in both directions of front and rear directions in relation to an advancing direction of the vehicle. The child seat is constituted of a first pedestal 14 fixed to the seat for the vehicle, a shell 12 attachable/detachable to/from the first pedestal 14 and a second pedestal 16. The first pedestal 14 is provided with a lock means usable in common, even when the shell 12 and the second pedestal 16 are attached/detached to/from the first pedestal 14 in both the front and rear directions in relation to the advancing direction of the vehicle.
