The fixing on the surface of a first component (1) of a first metal of a second metal (4) by melting a solder (3) adapted to the second metal. The first metal is an intermetallic alloy such as titanium-aluminium and a layer of nickel (2) is interposed between the first component and the solder. An independent claim is also included for a composite metal component obtained by this method.
