PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized and lightweight sulky tea leaves plucker with a well-balanced machine body, good in plucking maneuverability. SOLUTION: This sulky tea leaves plucker has the following construction: Gate-shaped front side frame 21 and a rear side frame 22 joining a pair of crawler running gears 30 and 30 respectively are disposed on the front portion of the machine body and longitudinally apart from each other. An engine 41 as a power feeder 40 for feeding mechanical power to the crawler running gears 30 and 30 is mounted in between the front side frame 21 and the rear side frame 22 and one one side of the machine body. Further, the rear side frame 22 is liftably mounted with a plucking device 50 for plucking tea leaves from tea ridges and collecting them, and an operative apparatus 70 for operating the powder feeder 40 and the plucking device 50 is mounted on the other side of the machine body. A step 80 for an operator to ride on the plucker is equipped on the crawler running gear 30 on the other side of the rear portion of the machine body correspondingly to the operative apparatus 70.
