SESSION MAINTENANCE METHOD AND MOBILE NODES FOR HETEROGENEOUS NETWORK

A session maintenance method and mobile nodes that allow dynamic readjustment of session parameters within a heterogeneous network. Before the environment in which user A is positioned switches to a different access network, an agent section of user A's mobile node delivers new session parameters to the agent section and application section of user B's mobile node via a CCN server. The application section of user B's mobile node receives the new session parameters, creates a response to them, and transmits the response to the agent section of user A's mobile node via user B's agent section and the CCN server. The agent sections of both mobile nodes perform setup again as needed with new session parameters in order to maintain a session between both application sections.
