PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: in a heating/drying type garbage drying/treating machine, heat efficiency is low, a long drying time is necessary, and garbage can not be charged continuously. SOLUTION: A garbage drying/treating machine is provided with an inlet 4 for charging garbage 3, a pressure-feeding means 5 which rolls and conveys the garbage 3, a heating means 6 set in the pressure-feeding means 5, a housing part 8 for housing the dried garbage 3, and an air sucking/discharging means 9 for sucking/discharging air. By pressure-feeding and heating the garbage 3, water lifted on the surface of the garbage 3 can be heated to improve heat efficiency. The garbage 3 itself is made thin to improve heat transfer. Since the garbage 3 can be heated momentarily, a heating time can be curtailed to reduce an electric power consumption.
