PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a polyester polymerization catalyst which is excellent in polycondensation activities and heat ageing resistance and gives a polyester molded article containing few foreign matters and exhibiting excellent transparency by employing as main polycondensation catalyst components a hydrotalcite compound and a phosphorous compound instead of an antimony compound, a germanium compound, a titanium compound and a cobalt compound each having a certain disadvantage.
