PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make obtainable a high power density and energy by a low-cost system by improving a laser radiation source and a material processing apparatus for material processing, to flexibly control the beam profile and to make accurately controllable the accuracy and the beam position, and to make accurately controllable the beam output even when the laser output is high.

SOLUTION: The laser radiation source (1) to obtain a high power density and energy has a plurality of diode pumped fiber lasers (2) which can be directly modulated and whose output terminals of the fiber lasers (2) are arranged in a bundle. The laser radiation emitting from the output terminal of the fiber lasers (2) is condensed and bundled by an optical unit (8) in such a manner that the laser radiation source is focused onto one processing spot (24) on a processing surface (81).
