PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer capable of receiving unnecessary ink discharged from the inkjet heads by a shared constitution. SOLUTION: An ink receiving means 3 periodically or selectively moves a pallet 32 to receive unnecessary ink to just below each of inkjet heads 2C, 2M and 2Y by rotation of a chain 31. Consequently, only the one pallet 32 is needed so as to receive the unnecessary discharged ink and cleaning liquid sequentially from each head. Unnecessary ink discharge work can be done with printing by moving the pallet 32 in synchronism with a feeding speed of a printing sheet in a state of the pallet 32 mated with an unprinted area.
