PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact resistance and a vibration resistance at a short side of a groove portion of a base side in a tuning fork type crystal vibrating-reed having the groove portion on front face and back faces of a vibrating arm portion. SOLUTION: In the tuning fork type crystal vibrating-reed having the groove portion, each short side of the groove portion on the front and back faces of the base side and a tip portion side of the vibrating-reed is shifted.
