PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for measuring a response time of liquid crystal that automatically detects the optimum response time when the temperature of the liquid crystal is different. SOLUTION: The method and apparatus for measuring the response time of the liquid crystal supplies a driving signal of the liquid crystal to a liquid crystal display panel, adjusts variable voltage levels of the liquid crystal driving signal until the response characteristics of the liquid crystal display panel responding to the liquid crystal driving signal reach up to a predetermined level, and sets the variable voltage levels in modulation data so that the response characteristics reach the predetermined level.
