PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermoplastic resin having high elasticity, practical moldability and excellent solubility. SOLUTION: The resin composition contains a polymer having a divalent phosphate residue having a spiro ring expressed by formula (1) in the molecule and having a number-average molecular weight of≥2,000. In formula (1), R<SP>1</SP>s are each independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a 1-20C aliphatic hydrocarbon group and nitro group; (p) and (q) are integers of p+q=0 to 16; Xs are each independently oxygen, sulfur, selenium or a noncovalent electron pair; Ys are each independently selected from oxygen, sulfur and methylene group; (n), (m) are each an integer satisfying n+m=0 to 4.
