PURPOSE: A method of preparing rice containing an herbal component of Angelicae Gigantis Radix by soaking rice in an Angelicae Gigantis Radix extract and drying is provided. The rice is effective in treating hypertension and anaemia and has effects of promoting blood circulation, nourishing the blood, reinforcing physical strength and alleviating pain. CONSTITUTION: To prepare the functional rice, rice is washed with clean water three times or more and dehydrated. Then, the dehydrated rice is soaked in an Angelicae Gigantis Radix extract, dehydrated and dried. In the process, the soaking and drying process is repeated two times. For an example, 800g rice is washed with water 3 to 4 times and soaked in 320g Angelicae Gigantis Radix extract for 12hr and dried at 60deg.C. The soaking and drying process is repeated two times. The Angelicae Gigantis Radix extract is prepared by extracting 60g Angelicae Gigantis Radix in 5L water at 100deg.C for 4hr, adding 3,500cc Angelicae Gigantis Radix extract to 2L water and then extracting.
