PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment that efficiently absorbs visible light and near infrared light and has attractive properties, for example, high extinction coefficient, high storage stability, high solubility and the like. SOLUTION: The perimidine compound is represented by general formula (1) (wherein R1 and R2 are mutually independent and H, an alkyl, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl, an alkoxyalkyl or an aralkyl; R3, R4 are each an alkyl, R3 and R4 may be linked to form a ring; n is an integer of 0-5, m is an integer of 0-2; A is a divalent atomic group that forms a conjugate system together with an adjacent atomic group; W, X, Y, Z are mutually independent and each represent H, an alkyl group or a halogen atom).
