PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin used as a laminate used for automobile parts, electrical appliances, films and fibers, not only exhibiting an excellent flame retardancy without using a halogen, but also capable of satisfying both adhesiveness and a blocking property jointly and also exhibiting excellent bending resistance caused by a toughness of the resin. SOLUTION: This polyester resin contains≥0.5 wt. % phosphorus atom contained in its molecular chain,≥50 mol % aromatic dicarboxylic acid in its acid components and≥80 mol % glycol component expressed by HO(C<SB>n</SB>H<SB>2n</SB>)OH (n=5-10 integer).
