The invention relates to an optocoupler in which platelet-shaped particles (11) are embedded in the enveloping compound (6), which are aligned in such a manner that they reflect the light transmitted by the light transmitter (1) towards the light receiver (2) and, at the same time, keep away external light incident from outside. The particles (11) consist of boron nitride or mica or aluminium powder and in each case titanium dioxide can also be added.
