Heading E2B [Also in Division F2] A stud fastener for connecting apertured members 28, 29 comprises a shank 11 having at one end a head portion 12, one or more retaining lugs or arms 15 extending outwardly from the shank towards the head and adapted to retain the stud in engagement with member 28, a shouldered nose portion 10 at the other end of the shank, the nose portion being slotted at 17 to form two or more further resilient lugs the shoulders of which retain the member 29. The stud is of resilient plastics material and, as shown, is employed in a shock mounting (see Division F2) for a refrigerator compressor.
