PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with degradation in output accuracy of a physical quantity measurement sensor and to detect a factor value of a factor degrading the output accuracy of the physical quantity measurement sensor without using a factor value measurement sensor, in a car navigation system 10 equipped with the physical quantity measurement sensor such as a gyro sensor whose output accuracy is degraded under a predetermined driving condition such as inclination of a vehicle so as to calculate an own car position. SOLUTION: A road shape information detection means 32 detects road shape information Ic of a point P, where the own car will be running, from a road map database 33. When a passage determination means 35 detects that the own car is passing through the point P right now, a calculation control means 36 controls an own car position calculation means 26 to calculate the own car position based on a relative movement amount corrected based on the information Ic.
