ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC TONER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner excellent in transparency and fixing stability when paper for OHP is printed and to provide a method for manufacturing the toner. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the toner includes a step in which porous silicon dioxide having a specific surface area of 500-700 m2/g measured by the BET method is internally added to a mixture of a binder resin and a colorant and these are kneaded and a step of pulverizing and classifying a composition prepared by the kneading step. The internal addition of the porous silicon dioxide improves transparency and fixability, whereby the toner using a polyolefin resin having a cyclic structure as the binder resin is put to practical use.
