PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the amount-of-rotation detecting apparatus of a motor which can accurately detect an amount of rotation of the motor by using a simple and low-cost constitution without using a special purpose rotation sensor nor an expensive detector circuit, and to provide a positional controller of the motor. SOLUTION: The amount-of-rotation detecting apparatus of the motor includes motor current detecting means 100 for detecting motor current, motor voltage detecting means 110 for detecting a motor voltage, motor characteristic holding means 120 for holding rotation characteristic information representing a relationship between the current and voltage to rotational speed of the motor 1, amount-of-rotation calculating means 130 for calculating an amount of the rotation of the motor 1 obtained based on pieces of information of the motor current detecting means 100, the motor voltage detecting means 110 and the motor characteristic holding means 120, and control means 140 for controlling an operating position of the motor 1 based on the information of the amount of rotation of the motor obtained by the amount-of-rotation calculating means 130.
