PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a barrier opening and closing mechanism by which a smooth operation is possible without causing level differences between the barriers in the thickness direction at the time of closing the barrier. SOLUTION: In the barrier opening and closing mechanism having a mirror frame which holds a photographic lens, a lens-barrel formed integrally with the mirror frame by having a joint, the barrier which is opened and closed corresponding to the movement of the lens-barrel, a rotation member to be engaged into the barrier, the barrier is arranged on the object side of the joint part and the rotation member is arranged on the image surface side of the joint.
