PURPOSE: A cassette holder stopper of a VCR(Video Cassette Recorder) is provided to prevent an electric shock on an IC chip caused by a discharge of an instant static electricity so that it can prevent a wrong operation of the VCR. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises a cassette holder, a stopper lever(6), a hooking hole(1a), and a chassis(1). The cassette holder inserts a tape cassette into a slot installed on an upper part of the chassis(1) or withdraws the tape cassette from the slot. The stopper lever(6) limits a movement of the cassette holder according to whether the tape cassette is inserted or not. The stopper lever(6), elastically assembled by a lever spring, makes a hook of the stopper lever(6) get hooked in the hooking hole(1a) formed on the chassis(1). A cassette holder assembly, comprising the cassette holder, a holder side and the lever spring, forms an electric ground loop with the chassis(1).
