PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which can change the number of pixels of an image while maintaining the state of an original image, and provide an image processing method. SOLUTION: The image processor comprises a pre-filter 2, to which a pixel value D1 of an actual pixel is inputted and which calculates a pixel value D2 of a generated pixel subjected to the high band correction by using the pixel value D1 of the actual pixel, and a linear interpolation filter 3, to which the pixel value D1 of the actual pixel and the pixel value D2 of the generated pixel are inputted from the pre-filter 2 and which calculates a pixel value D3 of an interpolation pixel with the linear interpolation method by using the pixel values.
