PURPOSE: A portable computer using an improved hinge device is provided to constantly keep frictional force according to rotation of a main body and a display part by preventing a hinge shaft from being partially separated from a friction part, and prevent deterioration of an exterior appeared when the hinge shaft is perfectly or considerably separated from the friction part. CONSTITUTION: The first bracket(10) is combined with one of the main body or the display part, and forms the first shaft receiving part(11). The second bracket(20) is another one of the main body or the display part, and forms the second shaft receiving part(21). One side of the hinge shaft(30) is rotated/combined to the first shaft receiving part and another side is combined to the second shaft receiving part as one body. The friction part(50) is formed to the first shaft receiving part and offers the frictional force to the hinge shaft by combining with the hinge shaft. A separation preventing part(40) prevents the hinge shaft from being separated from the friction part by being formed to one side of the hinge shaft.
