PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spherical body encapsulating construction which can configure a structure with a characteristically beautiful appearance using a spherical body such as a marble and the constituent parts of the structure by a simple method adopting a cheap material. SOLUTION: The spherical body encapsulating construction 30 incorporates the spherical body 20 retained inside a basket-like body 15 formed by folding a single wire rod 10 with plasticity. The basket-like body 15 comprises an odd number of not less than three hairpin curve parts H formed on a single wire rod by folding back the wire rod 10 and each hairpin curve part H is fixed, in a curved form, by hooking on the surface of the spherical body 20 to the length exceeding one fourth of the circumference and the basket-like body 15 is fixed by a torsion part 5 formed by mutually twisting the upper parts of two continuous wire rods, in the basket-like body 15.
