PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase an added value of zeolite by granulating it without deteriorating its characteristics and expand its uses. SOLUTION: Slurry prepared by mixing zeolite with an aqueous solution of silicate of 5-57 wt.% at a required ratio is dropped into an organic solvent to form granules. The granules are separated from the organic solvent and reacted in an aqueous treating solution of pH 2-12, where the silicate in the granules is converted into silica gel and the zeolite granules are obtained. The zeolite is mixed into the aqueous solution of silicate at a ratio where the proportion of zeolite in the zeolite granules in a dry state is 1-95 wt.% to form the slurry. An aqueous treating solution containing a pH buffer agent is used as the aqueous treating solution of pH 2-12. As the pH buffer agent, at least one kind among ammonium chloride, ammonium sulfate, ammonium nitrate, and sodium acetate is used. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
