SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OFFERING MULTIMEDIA CONTENTS TO MULTIPLE USERS AT HIGH-SPEED BASED ON P2P

PURPOSE: A system and a method for offering multimedia contents to multiple users at a high-speed based on the P2P(Peer-to-Peer) are provided to efficiently receive the high quality contents by resolving a system load/network bandwidth problem for a multimedia data server on an existing server-client system and an asymmetry problem of an up/download network speed on the P2P network system. CONSTITUTION: A user certification module(102) performs certification by discriminating that a user has an authority for using the contents. A user system information operating module(104) stores/operates ID information and contents download history information of the user system. In case that a contents transfer request is received from the user system, the user information operating module searches other user system having a part of the requested contents and provides the ID information of the searched user system. A user side module operating module(106) controls installation of a user side module installed/executed on the user system. A contents transfer module(108) stores the contents and transfers all or partial contents to the requesting user system.
