PURPOSE: A back light assembly is provided to easily emit heat generated from a lamp by enlarging a heat-emitting area and forming a radiating hole at a sidewall of a receptacle. CONSTITUTION: A back light assembly(100) includes a lamp assembly(110) having a plurality of lamps generating light, a diffusion plate(120) provided on the lamp assembly, improving luminance uniformity of light emitted from the lamps, a receptacle(130) having a bottom and sidewalls, receiving the lamp assembly and the diffusion plate, and a reflecting plate(140) having a bottom portion adjoining the bottom of the receptacle and a side portion extended from the bottom portion, adjoining at least one of the sidewalls of the receptacle.
