PURPOSE: A structure of a hard disk library for replacing a tape storage device is provided to configure a large storage device improving speed/expandability of the tape storage device by arranging hard disks in a matrix structure and forming a switching controller for connecting with the selected hard disk in order to make a host computer selectively control each hard disk through a controller. CONSTITUTION: A storage device(400) is formed by mounting the hard disks of an ATA(AT Attachment) standard and having each ID as a matrix arrangement mode in a state inserted into a slot. To control the hard disk of the storage device, the host computer(200) comprises a data interface(220), a control interface(230), a power controller(240), and a central controller(210). The switching controller(300) connects one end to the host computer through a data/control/power line bus, selects the slot of the storage device through an addressing line of another end by receiving an addressing selection signal from the host computer, and connects the corresponding hard disk with the host computer.
