<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of saving commercial power consumed in a control panel part. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus having an action mode which is freely switched and an energy saving mode which requires lower power consumption than in the action mode and forming an image on a recording medium when the action mode is set is equipped with the control panel part 16 having a display screen and performing a specified command, an energy saving feed part 15 supplying received power to the panel part 16, and a feed supervisory control part 17 supplying the power of a solar battery 30 to the feed part 15 and further supply the power of a battery when the power supplied from the feed part 15 to the panel part 16 becomes equal to or lower than a threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
