<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a channel selection apparatus suitable for a terrestrial digital broadcast receiver whereby selection of services requiring a branch number can be attained with a simple remote control operation. <P>SOLUTION: In the receiver provided with: a broadcast data reception section 1; a received data discrimination section 2; a channel selection control section 3; a branch number channel data storage section 4; and an AV decoder 6, the AV decoder 6 decoding an MPEG transport stream, supplying video/audio/data broadcast program to a display apparatus 8 on which the image is displayed, the channel selection apparatus discriminates a time when a third digit key is depressed in the case that a remote controller R enters a 3-digit service number, sequentially feeds branch numbers to the display apparatus 8 to allow the display apparatus 8 to display the branch numbers and the channel selection apparatus sequentially receives services corresponding to the displayed branch numbers by increasing the number of channels when the 3-digit service number indicates a service needing entry of the branch number and a time when the third digit key is depressed reaches a prescribed time or over. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
