PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water saving instrument which is easily installable in a pipe such as a water service pipe, runs water in a suitable saved amount depending on the circumstance of a installation location, ensures a water saving state at a stable flow rate corresponding to variation in water pressure, maintains a considerable stream and a suitable flow velocity even in the water saving state, and is good in usability. SOLUTION: The water saving instrument is arranged in the pipe such as the water service pipe in order to save water, and has at least an engaging section 12 which is engaged with an insertion end of the water pipe inserted into a water pipe joint, and a flow rate adjusting section 20 which is arranged in the insertion end of the water pipe by the engagement of the engaging section 12.
