PURPOSE: An acoustic book apparatus is provided to recognize and read various sizes of books without being restricted by the width of the book. CONSTITUTION: The acoustic book apparatus comprises an acoustic book(200) having a book code part(210) on its cover page and having a page tab(220) with a page code used in recognizing a page on each page, and a book reading crosspiece(100). According to the book reading crosspiece, a book fixing hole(161) fixes an end of the acoustic book, and a book installation part(160) fixes the position of the acoustic book. A memory(130) stores data about contents or background music of the acoustic book. A book code recognition part(110) recognizes a book by reading a code of the book code part. A page code recognition part(120) recognizes a page by reading the page code of the page tab. A sound output device(140) reads contents of each page and then outputs it. A micom controls each electric and electronic device and equipment. And a power supply unit(150) supplies power to each component.
