<p>This invention relates to unsaturated polyester comprising endomethylenetetrahydrophthalic acid (HIMIC) units, characterised in that the polyester comprises at least 1.1 mmol unsaturation per gram polymer, whereof at least 1 mmol originates from the HIMIC units and at least 0.01 mmol is derived from an alpha,beta-unsaturated acid. This invention also relates to a novel powder coating composition comprising the novel polyester resin, the process for preparing the powder coating composition, the application of the powder coating composition and substrates coated with the cured powder coating composition.</p> |
