Method for manufacturing a translucent laminate and laminate produced thereby

A translucent laminate is manufactured by removing excess adhesive from interstices between warp and fill of a scrim. Manufacture of a translucent laminate comprising woven scrim layer(s) disposed between at least two outer vinyl translucent layers (10, 12), comprises coating the scrim (11) with a plastisol adhesive, and removing the excess adhesive from the interstices between the warp and fill of the scrim. The scrim and the adhesive are heated to bond the scrim and the adhesive to the outer vinyl layers. The outer vinyl layers are heated to bond with the adhesive and the scrim. The scrim and the vinyl layers are brought together under sufficient pressure and temperature such that the outer vinyl layers bond to the scrim.
