The recorder has an on-vehicle camera to photograph surrounding scenes outside or inside a vehicle. A control unit records the photographed scenes in a buffer memory. A touch panel that is placed on front of a screen of a display outputs coordinate data of a position pressed by a user. A photographic direction switch unit (11) varies a photographic direction of the camera based on the position pressed on the touch panel.
