It is possible to reduce the processing load of a transmission device by passing a content distributed from the transmission device between content reception devices. The transmission device transmits a content list original. The reception device compares its content list to the content list original so as to judge whether any content is present to be downloaded from the transmission device or another reception device and download a necessary content.
