PURPOSE:To permit to print nicely without cleaning a printing head by a method wherein the magnetic ink is prevented from becoming highly viscous, being solidified or the like on the printing head by dropping the magnetic ink onto the printing head while the printing is not being performed. CONSTITUTION:When the printing is not being effected, a pump 11 is stopped to stop the supply of the magnetic ink 4 and a pulse motor 15 is driven to lower an ink tank 12. A relative height H2 between a recording neeedle 2 and the ink level of the ink tank 6 becomes large and the supply of the ink to the printing head is interrupted, therefore, the magnetic ink 4 becomes not to adhere to the printing head excluding the lower part of a supplying magnet 5. |
