PURPOSE:To prevent toner from leaking out of a device and staining the inside of a copying machine by generating an air flow by a developer after electrostatic development in the gap on a falling preventive plate under the influence of a magnetic pole and sucking toner in a casing. CONSTITUTION:The developer is held on the outer peripheral surface of a developing sleeve 1 with the magnetic force of a magnetic roller 2 and conveyed on a developing sleeve 1 as shown by an arrow (a) to develop an electrostatic latent image formed on the surface of a photosensitive drum 10 in a development area Y. Then the developer generate the strong air flow in the gap between the developer surface and the falling preventive plate 7 provided to the opening edge part of the lower casing 5 when passing under the magnetic pole S1. Then, a cloud of toner produced right behind the area Y is sucked in the casing 5 together with the air flow. Therefore, the toner is prevented from leaking out of the developing device and stains the inside of the copying machine. Further, a fresh developer is supplied and has its napping controlled 3 to be conveyed to the area Y. |
