<p>The hearing aid has a microphone system (1,2), a signal processing unit (12) and an output transducer (13), whereby the microphone system has at least two microphone units from which microphone signals (R0,R1) emanate and that have directional characteristics of different order and that vary in operation. The method involves regulating the signal level of at least one microphone unit's output microphone signal to the signal level of a reference signal.
