A ball-and-socket joint for automobiles and aircraft undercarriages with a shank housing (1), an internal section (2) with a bearing surface and a bearing box (3)(sic) enclosing the bearing surface in a recess of the shank housing, where the shank housing is in one piece and the bearing surface has at least two adjacent bearing regions (6,7) in the longitudinal axial direction of the joint.
