<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively impede infiltration of moisture of wind and rain or the like into a venting layer while obtaining a sufficient quantity of air flow. <P>SOLUTION: This waterproof exhaust tower 1 is provided in an opening 11 provided in a wall 10 of a building structure and facing approximately upward to exhaust air in the venting layer 12 in a wall 10 to the outside from the opening 11 and to impede infiltration of moisture of rainwater or the like into the venting layer 12 from the outside through the opening 11. The waterproof exhaust tower 1 is provided with an impervious wall 2 of rectangular cylinder shape extending upward while surrounding the opening 11. The tip part of the impervious wall 2 is bent outward, and this part is formed with a folded part at a prescribed angle to the impervious wall 2. Air in the venting layer 12 is exhausted to the outside from the inside of the waterproof exhaust tower 1 through a clearance 17 between a coping 16 and a wall 10. The moisture of rainwater or the like which is going to infiltrate from the outside is interrupted by the impervious wall 2, and splashed back by the folded part of the impervious wall 2 and hindered from infiltrating into the venting layer 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
