PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a batch type colloid mixer capable of crushing and kneading small lumps floating in a solution, to say nothing of large lumps floating on the liquid surface of a mixture of liquid and powder. SOLUTION: The batch type colloid mixer 1 is provided with upper and lower sucking openings 29, 31 which suck the mixture 2 of liquid and powder into a space formed by projected parts 15 of a disc-shaped rotator 16 and receiving projected parts 17, 19 of upper and lower fixed plates 18, 20 in the center part of the upper and lower receiving fixed plates 18, 20. The upper sucking opening 29 is formed larger in diameter than the lower sucking opening 31, and the number of the lines of the receiving projected parts 19 of the lower receiving fixed plate 20 is more than that of the receiving projected parts 17 of the upper receiving fixed plate 18. The mixture 2 is sucked from the receiving fixed plates 18, 20 into the space, and kneaded by the engagement of the rotating projected parts 15 with the receiving projected plates 19 to be discharged to the side direction of the disc type rotator 16.
