PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reclamation method using a floating pier, which can shorten the length of bridging facilities by changing a manner of a conventional reclamation method using the floating pier, to thereby largely contribute to shortening of a construction period and reduction in construction cost. SOLUTION: According to the reclamation method, an arched bridging pier 10 is constructed in a boundary area between an existing bank E1 extended from an existing reclaimed land and a reclamation water zone A, by using steel sheet piles and land-fill materials, and a mobile bridge 4 reaching the floating pier 2 is extended from the bridging pier 10. To reclaim the reclamation water zone, while the floating pier 2 is rotated by every predetermined angle about the bridging pier 10 as the center, vehicles are advanced from the existing bank E1 via the bridging pier 10 to the floating pier 2 to throw the land-fill materials directly into water, and the floating pier 2 is moved in parallel, i.e., the conventional method of reclamation can be employed to form a sectorial bank E2' covering a bank E2.
