The invention relates to cardboard formwork including a tubular moulding element (3), the flat walls of which define a prism with a corresponding cross-section which, with the possible exception of corner chamfers (fillets), can be inscribed within the cross-section of the finished product to be moulded, a cardboard holding tube (10) with circular cross-section which circumscribes the external section of the tubular moulding element (3) and wedging elements located in the spaces lying between the outer faces of the said tubular moulding element (3) and the internal face of the holding tube (10), which is noteworthy in that the wedging elements are made up of cellular cardboard (2), of which the edges of each cell are located perpendicularly to the flat wall opposite, of the tubular moulding element (3), and in that the said cellular cardboard completely fills the said spaces. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing such formwork. <IMAGE>
