PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid transfer device used widely for a micro total analysis system, a sample detecting method using it, or the like, and a fluid transfer method using the device. SOLUTION: This fluid transfer device is built in with a hydrogen pump 10 utilizing a solid electrolyte membrane 13 as a fluid pump built in substrates 12a, 12b. The fluid transfer device is operated using the micro total analysis system, by simple constitution of assembling the hydrogen pump 10 utilizing the solid electrolyte membrane 13 in the substrates 12a, 12b.
