PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration isolating structure of ground, which can reduce a spread of vibrations to a periphery by propagating the vibrations, propagated to the ground from a vibration source, to a limited area alone, and to provide a construction method therefor. SOLUTION: The vibration isolating structure of the ground, which reduces the spread of the vibration 31, propagated through the ground from the vibration source 3 on the ground 4, to the periphery, comprises a soil improving body 1 which is constructed in a position separated downward from the vibration source, and a propagation suppressing wall 2 which is connected to an end 12 of the soil improving body and whose top surface is connected to the ground surface. The vibrations, which are propagated to the ground from the vibration source, are attenuated in the ground which is surrounded by the ground improving body and the propagation suppressing wall.
