PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to execute continuous remote control when the electric appliance is remotely controlled by e-mail without waiting for a long time, and with no need of setting so that at normal times an e-mail system on the side of an electric appliance frequently accesses a mail server. SOLUTION: The system comprises a timer 75 for managing time to check an incoming mail of the mail server 5, a receiver 77 for checking the incoming mail of the mail server 5 at the time set by the timer 75, receiving the mail when there is one, and storing it as a mail received, an analysis part 78 for analyzing contents of the mail received by the receiver 77, and a control unit 74 for changing the time set by the timer 75 according to the control information extracted by the analysis part 78.
