PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To build a driving environment for a mobile unit, such as an automobile, which is unlikely to cause accidents. SOLUTION: Driver support information is transmitted to receiving devices 301-304 loaded on an automobile by use of data broadcasting for mobile units, and stored in the RAM 308b of a memory 308. The information is provided to a driver in a timely manner. The driver can input data with a voice recognition microphone 306 as a data input device, responding with the microphone 306 when the driver assist information is broadcasted. A program guide is provided by voice as well as stations can be selected with the microphone 306. The driver assist information serves as the information for preventing the driver from falling into a desultory driving state or an inattentive driving state, and comprises such an alarm announcement information as given by alarm sound or voice, or the like.
