PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil pump structure, in which even leakage of oil from clearance between gear teeth is prevented, by preventing reduction in durability of an oil pump, when oil is excessively compressed between the gear teeth, while a gear tooth of a driving gear and a gear tooth of a driven gear pass through a cutoff part of a housing. SOLUTION: This oil pump structure is characterized by arranging the gear teeth for maximally forming a space formed between a tooth of the driving gear and a tooth of the driven gear inscribed in each other, the cutoff part arranged in the housing, so as to cut off a part between a suction oil groove and a delivery oil groove, and oil escaping groove having a start part in a position for projecting a contact point of the gear teeth mutually contacting on the delivery oil groove side, and formed in the cutoff part, so as to communicate with the delivery oil groove.
